Background & building

As an American worldwide marketer of consumer and commercial products with an impressive portfolio of brands, Newell Brands wanted their offices based in London to represent their forward thinking ethos. As part of the refurbishment project, a variety of Komfort’s products were installed.

Newell Brands London offices are located inside TEA Building, which comes with an interesting history. Tea Building was originally built as a bacon factory for the Lipton brand for Allied Foods Ltd. in 1931. The adjacent Biscuit Building was principally used as a tea packing warehouse for much of its life. Both warehouses were joined together internally in the early 1930s. Today the whole of the premises has been converted and Tea Building is now a recognised landmark in Shoreditch.

Komfort’s Solution

Being very familiar with Komfort’s product offerings and working closely with the Komfort Project Management team, Level Best Solutions were confident in installing the selected products.

Keeping to the brief, Komfort’s Kross Glaze partitioning and doors were installed on the offices and meeting rooms. These systems provided the design solution and contemporary, industrial feel the client was looking for, alongside impressive performance credentials.

The brief in brief

Level Best Solutions, working with Thirdway Interiors were briefed to create a light and bright working environment, whilst remaining consistent with the design of the existing building. To ensure the project ran smoothly, the details of the project were expressed at a very early stage, making sure everyone involved was aware of the process, timescales and end design goal.

The End Result

Newell Brands’ refurbished offices seamlessly align to their business culture and the existing TEA Building’s design. Working in collaboration, a modern and inspiring working environment was created with light flooding through. This project is a great showcase of our partitioning and Kross Glaze capability and the recent commercial and residential trends.
