RJ & KD Mcleans are suppliers and buyers of second-hand agricultural equipment, including tractors and diggers. Occupying the ground floor of their office building, the client underwent a complete fit out to help make the space more purposeful, practical and impactful.

Komfort’s Solution
To help achieve the brief, Komfort’s Polar 30 single glazed partitioning with applied Kross Glaze, Komfire 100 solid partitioning and timber doors were incorporated into the design.
Komfort’s frameless single glazed partitioning creates a minimal and premium aesthetic and was installed with Kross Glaze applied bars to add a modern aesthetic. The glazing allows light to travel around the room and create a feeling of openness, all whilst providing high acoustic ratings of up to 40dB (Rw). Komfort’s full height timber doors were also installed to complement the partitioning and add warmth with the natural finish.
Komfort’s Komfire 100 solid partitioning system was installed underneath the ceiling to help divide the space. This system offers very high-performance credentials achieving acoustics ratings of up to 52dB (Rw) and a fire rating of 60/60. Due to the design of Komfire, the graphics could be applied directly to the face of the system.

The Brief in Brief
In order to help the office work for its employees and future plans, the brief included both individual and collaborative spaces within a light and bright environment.
For RJ & KD Mcleans, wellbeing considerations needed to be at the forefront of the design, especially within the midst of the pandemic. Therefore, Jade Aden helped create an environment where employees could feel safe, concentrate, and engage as a team.
Beautiful design was also at the heart of the brief; not only was the space to be made functional, but also impressive and memorable in its initial impression. Striking graphics of agricultural settings and natural tones were used throughout the space to help reflect the works and surrounding environment of RJ & KD Mcleans. Additionally, a skylight LED panel was designed above the kitchen to help connect employees with the outside world.
