August 2026 marked a huge milestone for Time Limit Interiors (TLI) as they officially celebrate 30 years in business. What began in 1996 as a dynamic partnership, combining Lee’s sales and estimating background with Graeme’s design and project management expertise, has grown into a core team of eight, supporting a workforce that reaches up to 40 during peak project delivery.
Evolving into a Full Fitout Business
Over the past three decades, TLI has steadily transformed. Starting out in commercial, education and steady partition work, the company has successfully expanded into a full Principal Contractor capable of managing comprehensive fitouts, including complex M&E packages. Today, TLI handles projects ranging from quick one-day maintenance tasks right up to £4 million transformations. Guided by the philosophy that you are “only as good as your last job,” TLI’s strong reputation across main contractors and end-users continues to drive their growth.
A Partnership Built on Trust
In TLI’s early days, as industry legislation tightened, TLI recognised the undeniable value of certified fire, acoustic and structural backing. Becoming a Komfort Registered Contractor (KRC) provided a trusted badge of quality that opened major doors across the sector.
Being local to Komfort’s Leeds office gave TLI a ready-made showroom, while their technical knowledge made them one of the few contractors qualified to fit specialist systems like Komfire. Over the years, TLI also rode the crest of the wave with Komfort Polar glazing, delivering exceptional spaces like the award-winning Foss House in York and Copthall Harrogate.
A Partnership Based on Trust
A 30-year partnership is ultimately built on people. Strong, long-term relationships with key Komfort team members, including Pre-Construction Manager Ellie Lawford, Northern Estimating Manager Simon Goodison and Contracts Manager Andy Green, have solidified a deep layer of mutual loyalty.
From iconic partner cruises to building strong networks of mutual respect with fellow Partner contractors across the UK, TLI and Komfort share decades of great memories. As the TLI team put it, the relationship feels grounded in total trust, ease and shared history.
Following a well-deserved team dinner to toast their success, TLI looks forward to shaping the future of commercial spaces for decades to come. Happy 30th Anniversary to Time Limit Interiors!
