Sustainability remains a foundational pillar of operational strategy and long-term success at Komfort. In our H1 2026 Sustainability Impact Report, we provide complete transparency on our progress across environmental stewardship, waste management and carbon emissions reduction.
Over the first six months of 2026, we have continued to integrate sustainable practices into our manufacturing processes, strengthen supply chain accountability and deliver low-carbon solutions for the Architecture & Design (A&D) community.

Measurable Carbon Reduction Across Operations
Comparing H1 2026 directly against our H1 2025 baselines, our decarbonisation strategy has delivered measurable results:
Overall Reduction: Total carbon emissions reduced by 54.95 tonnes C02e, marking a 15.6% overall decrease.
Scope 1 Direct Emissions: Direct operational emissions (fuel oil, company fleet, and heating gas) dropped from 256.55 tonnes to 201.03 tonnes C02e – a 21.6% reduction.
Scope 2 Indirect Emissions: Purchased electricity emissions remained steady at 51.52 C02e.
Circular Schemes
We have implemented circular return streams directly on active project sites:
Glass & Aluminium Circularity: Demounted glass, site offcuts, and scrap are returned to UK recycling streams to generate low-carbon glass and aluminium.
Site Protection Take-Back: A Corex protection board take-back scheme is now active across operational sites.
Workwear Circularity: An employee take-back scheme recycles used workwear.
Advancing the A&D Strategy: The Carbon Promise
Our ongoing Carbon Promise framework centers on three guiding principles to help architects, specifiers and main contractors fulfill their own sustainability targets:
Responsible Sourcing: Offering verified Low Carbon Aluminium, Low Carbon Glass and Low Carbon Steel supply routes, alongside transitioning to biodegradable packaging tapes.
Used to Reuse: Implementing internal training on estimating and delivering “Used to Reuse” projects, supported by dedicated Disassembly Guides for project partners.
Reclaim to Recycle: Reclaiming partitioning materials from fit-outs and reintroducing them into high-value manufacturing streams.
To support transparent specification, Komfort maintains active Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) across our Fire and Polar partitioning ranges and is rolling out Digital Product Passports (DPPs) to provide full supply chain traceability.
