As a Project Specification Manager at Komfort for 6 years (and 11 in the industry), Allan is our go-to expert for architects and designers in Scotland. He thrives on collaborating from the early conceptual stages, ensuring every detail and vision is captured in the partitioning design.
We caught up with Allan to reflect on his journey so far, the projects he most enjoys and what most excites him about the future 👏 Take a look at what he had to say below.
What do you enjoy most about working in this industry?
The detail within the projects, working with architects from the conceptual stage to then watch a project come to life through its programme on site to delivery.
What are you most excited about most for Komfort’s future?
Komfort are securing more prestigious, high level projects, with this will come a higher brand identity within the market sector showing why we are one of the market leaders in our field.
What is your one piece of advice to someone starting out in the industry?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help, system details and regulations change quicker than you think so what you could have done a month ago, may not be the case now. We’re here to sense check and help through all the RIBA stages.
What is the most rewarding project you have been involved with?
Peebles High School – One of our largest scale projects in Scotland. To be a part of such a high spec and quality building shows what Komfort can deliver through all performance types.
