Meet Chris Dunne, our resident expert in passive fire protection 🔥
We caught up with him to find out what he loves most about his job, what excites him about the future and how Komfort is committed to leading the way in fire safety and competence.
What are the total number of years you have been in the industry?
I have been in the industry for 10 years and have just passed my 5 years milestone as an Architectural Firescreens Technical Manager.
What do you enjoy most about working in this industry?
I’m genuinely interested in fire engineering and fire protection technologies. As our resident expert on passive fire protection, it’s important I keep up to date with industry best practice and legislation. Komfort really support professional development, so I have the opportunity to join CPD sessions for a broad range of topics. Every day is a learning day.
What are you excited about most for Komfort’s future?
The fire sector is undergoing a massive change following the publishing of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry phase 2 report last September – particularly surrounding fire safety construction products and competence. It’s exciting to help Komfort take these challenges head on.
