The GVA Project
Background
As the UK’s leading and most diverse real estate advisory led business, GVA offers clients a service that spans the entire property lifecycle from strategy and planning, through to delivery and management. Axis Interiors Solutions were appointed to complete a fit out of GVA’s new offices. Axis Interiors Solutions had been involved in the refurbishment of GVA’s previous offices back in 2008, for which a variety of Komfort’s products were used.
The Building
GVA’s new office building, Sutherland House is located in the heart of Glasgow and has recently undergone a significant Cat A refurbishment programme.
The Brief in Brief
Aligning to GVA’s brand, the brief required the fit out to be completed to a very high standard and to create a collaborative, forward thinking environment that they would be proud of.
This project involved careful planning and scheduling of deliveries into the building to ensure there was no disruption to the other tenants of Sutherland House. Axis worked closely with Komfort’s estimating department to ensure the key dates in the programme were adhered to guarantee a successful completion.
Komfort’s Solution
In order to help meet the brief, Komfort’s Polar Double Glazed and Sonik Double Glazed doors were installed on the main board room and the quiet booths between the general office and reception area. These systems were chosen to help create a contemporary environment which encourages a collaborative working approach and inspires their employees and guests. Our product offerings achieved impressive acoustic performance of 45dBRw for the fixed glass and 38dBRw for Sonik door & frame sets.
The Kross Glaze bars were applied to both systems following the recent trend of industrial style glazing, a feature the client was particularly fond of.
The end result
We were delighted to get the opportunity to work with Axis Interior Solutions on this project and have our product offerings installed in GVA’s offices in Glasgow once again. The finished project is something we are very proud to have been a part of and aligns seamlessly to GVA’s renowned brand.
